Know About Gilead COMPASS Initiative® with Proper Trainings and Consultations

Individual consultations and group trainings are held by the centers among organizations in the south US. The main focus of these organizations is to address the HIV Gilead Compass Initiative to the people. Their main focus is on capacity building, stigma reduction and trauma informed care and well being among people suffering from HIV. Their motive is to aware people more and more about HIV, and gives them consultation services so that they can recover faster. Compass creates long term sustainable changes in leaders and organizations, and communities who support capacity building strategies that will help in supporting in strengthening of infrastructure and viability of organizations, serving for people suffering from Gilead HIV AIDS. The Gilead COMPASS Initiative® coordinating centers offer education, training and capacity building programs in these following areas:

· Capacity Building Assistance: These trainings focus on building organizational capacity and increasing shared knowledge among HIV/AIDS-serving community-based organizations. Some of the trainings which comes under this are of Governance and leadership, mission, vision, and strategy, Finance and administration, Resource development, strategic relationships and coalition building, communications, Internal management and operations, service delivery and impact.

· Well-Being and Mental Health: It is very important to have stable mental health for the people suffering from HIV/AIDS. Visit here so that they can refer you to another organization outside of the Gilead COMPASS Initiative® that can assist with that specific request if they cannot meet the similar need. The trainings they conclude are Harm Reduction- Philosophy, Principles, & Interventions, Understanding Mental Health & HIV/AIDS, Mental Health literacy 101, Trauma Informed Approaches for HIV Service Organizations, Legislative advocacy training, Integrating Healing Justice - Unconscious Bias, Race & Organizational Change, Trans & Queer Youth Experiences with Health Services.

· Stigma Reduction and Culturally Responsive Care: These trainings emphasize the need of HIV stigma reduction and culturally responsive care in our effort to address the epidemic in the Southern United States. Undoing racism, stigma and HIV, Cultural competence and humility, workforce development trainings are provided.
