Gilead COMPASS Initiative®: Helping People Fight With HIV/AIDS

Has someone around you ever been affected by HIV? Do you know the mental and physical trauma that a person goes through when something like that happens in their life? A lot of people face these issues every year. There is still a lot of stigmas attached to HIV/AIDS in society. To know more, visit here. Therefore, the people affected by them are still not considered a part of society. They may not even have the necessary resources for fighting their disease. This is very saddening because this disease is an epidemic in the Southern United States. Many people are suffering from it in the area.

The Gilead COMPASS Initiative® is working towards making the world better for these people in various ways like the HIV gilead. It has been working for the welfare of the people that are struggling in their lives because of this disease. Their constant efforts have helped in bringing a positive change in society. They have also joined hands with several organizations to do so.

The Southern AIDS Coalition is going to partner with several organizations, namely THRIVE SS (Atlanta, Georgia), AIDS Services Coalition (Hattiesburg, Mississippi), AIDS Alabama (Birmingham, Alabama), and Partners in Caring (Wilmington, North Carolina) This partnership would help in reducing the stigma and ending this epidemic among the various communities of this area. They will evaluate their interventions and make sure to provide the right guidance to everyone in need. HIV stigma reduction has been funded by Gilead COMPASS. They have become working in this direction for more than 10 years. They have supported several organizations that are helping in fighting the epidemic. To know more, click here.

Gilead COMPASS Coordinating Centers have been working towards providing resources from gilead hiv resource to several organizations from the region that have been working in the same direction as them. The Coordinating Centers are providing these grants through several different mechanisms. The sole purpose of this is to maximize the number of people that get help for fighting this disease. There are several different criteria for getting these grants. So, the applicant must meet them in order to get a particular grant. Several organizations have already received these grants. Some of them are Together for Hope, AHRC, and many others. They also provide HIV training so that people can deal better with this disease and can change their approach towards it. You can get more information about it on their website.
